Special Arrangements for Covid19 period

The Coronavirus Covid-19 pandemic has affected all aspects of the lives of people across the whole planet and will continue to do so for a long time to come.

The staff and governors at Maple Grove Primary School have a clear, shared understanding of the importance of school and education to children’s lives. It is our aim to provide the best educational experience that we can, as safely as we can, playing our part in helping the school and wider community recovery.

This recovery is not focused on a specific date but on a graduated approach to returning increasing numbers of children to school over time in a steady, well-considered approach taking into account the available up to date information at the time of issue.

The aim of this information is to:

  • Provide information about the plans and measures we have in place to make this happen
  • Explain what we need you to do to help make this happen

We have tried to make this information comprehensive but also accessible. If you feel more information is needed from us, please do ask. The handbook is likely to be updated as time progresses and we will inform you when this happens. Please do check here for most up to date advice.

As of today, all families and childcare bubbles will be able to order test kits to be used regularly at home.  We would strongly encourage you to take up this provision as it will help us to ensure that any cases are identified quickly and that we can limit their spread thus keeping our pupils and staff as safe as possible.  Click below for further information.

You must self-isolate your child any member of your household has symptoms of Covid-19 and immediately report it to school.

There should be no attempt to medicate any child with Covid-19 symptoms to keep them in school.

Where staff suspect any child in school may have Covid-19 symptoms, they will be removed from their group, kept under adult supervision, and parents/carers will be contacted immediately.
